Holiday Used Book Fair: December 14-December 18
Spring Used Book Fair: May 2016
Help organize gently used books and assist in thier sales. All proceeds benefit school enrichment programs.

Licenders (No contact with Lice whatsoever! The PTA hires an outside company to check each student for Lice four times a year.)
Volunteers are needed to schedule classroom checks, escort classrooms and to help facilitate a speedy process during the Lice check.

The PTA hires an outside Photography company. Volunteers are needed to escort classrooms, facilitate a speedy process, process photo orders and prepare students for their photos.

International Night Committee
International Night Festival at the HS of Art & Design: Friday, February 5, 2016
The PS 59 PTA International Night is our largest school-wide community event.
PS 59 families donate food, set-up cultural tables and even perform dances from their native countries for everyone to enjoy. We are proud to celebrate our cultural diversity at this parent-powered program!

International Families Committee
Summer Solstice Picnic: June 2018
The International Families Committee was formed to help support our many families from around the world. They help make our newset families feel at home here in America. In addition to helping international families, this committee also hosts our Annual Summer Solstice picnic in Central Park for the entire PS 59 community.
